Making films that make a difference
Production seed funding will be awarded on a competitive basis to participants in the Nollywood Workshops. Storylines that have edutainment themes will be chosen in collaboration with local and international NGOs, with stories and scripts to be developed during the Workshops.
Keeping it real
The private investment required ensures that the films retain mass appeal, even while including powerful messages related to key social and public health issues in Nigeria and other African countries.
Workshops first film in production: “Hidden Hunger”
Based on the partnership forged during the filming of “This is Nollywood,” Nollywood director Bond Emerua and producer Bob Caputo are currently collaborating on the Nollywood Workshop’s first film. The film contains messaging related to women’s empowerment and child nutrition.
